What is a study centre? Describe its major functions.

A reginal center cover a large area and many study centers come under one regional centre.

The purpose of regional centre is to facilitate students for examinations ,project viva,changes in registration details,study material,data entry of Attendance and assignment marks etc.

While in study center a students study their subjects..Study center procides teaching and other basic facilities like computers for making programs etc. Assignment and attendance depends upon study centre as they send these details to RC's.

A study centre may consist of one room in a building that is only occasionally staffed, or it may be a campus with a number of purpose-designed buildings, permanently staffed for specialist teaching, technical, and administrative purposes, and open most days and times during the week. Its physical form will depend on the functions ascribed to it and on the funds available to provide for those functions at various levels of completeness and intensity.

The centre may be a "lodger" within the premises of another institution's facility possibly paying rent to cover space used, furniture and fittings provided, and power etc. consumed.
