It promotes market-based mechanisms, such as Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT), to incentivize industries to reduce energy consumption. This mission also includes initiatives like the Energy Efficiency Financing Platform, which facilitates investments in energy efficiency projects, and the Standards & Labeling Program, which informs consumers about the energy efficiency of appliances.
