Peter Drucker is regarded as one of the most influential thinkers in modern management and administrative thought. He introduced a new perspective on management by treating it as a social function concerned with people, performance and organisational objectives. His major contribution was to shift attention from mechanical administration to effective management of human and organisational resources.
