Post-globalization refers to the period and social, economic, political, and cultural transformations that emerged after the intense phase of globalization, particularly from the late twentieth century onward. It does not necessarily mean the end of globalization; rather, it indicates a changing form of globalization in which countries, governments, markets, civil society, and communities respond to its benefits, inequalities, and challenges. From the perspective of gender and governance, post-globalization is important because it has altered women's economic participation, political representation, access to technology, and relationship with institutions of governance. Globalization created new opportunities for women through international trade, migration, education, information technology, and employment in multinational corporations. However, it also produced inequalities, such as low-paid informal employment, insecure working conditions, and unequal access to resources.
