A computerised cataloguing module is an important component of an Integrated Library Management System (ILMS). It is used to create, store, organise, search, edit and maintain bibliographic records of library resources in a computerised database. For effective cataloguing, the module should satisfy certain basic requirements related to standards, data entry, storage, retrieval and maintenance.
