India’s contemporary digital media landscape shows that when information and communication technologies (ICTs) are designed with inclusion, mentorship, and livelihood pathways in mind, they can narrow—not widen—the gender digital divide. Rather than recounting obstacles, this answer spotlights how flagship public programmes, trade-union–led innovations, and private-sector partnerships have equipped millions of women with skills, tools, and market access.
