The Deccan policy of the Delhi Sultans refers to the strategies and tactics employed by the Muslim rulers of the Delhi Sultanate to expand and maintain their control over the Deccan plateau, a region located in southern India. The Deccan plateau is a large and fertile region that has been the site of many powerful kingdoms throughout Indian history.

The first Delhi Sultan to launch an invasion of the Deccan was Alauddin Khilji in 1296. He conquered the kingdom of Devagiri and established a new city, Daulatabad, as the capital of his Deccan territories. However, his control over the region was short-lived as the Khilji dynasty was soon replaced by the Tughlaqs.
