India’s vast diversity, colonial legacy, poverty, population size, caste-based hierarchy, and gender discrimination have created a complex landscape of social issues. These problems affect social institutions such as family, education, religion, and economy, ultimately hampering development and social cohesion. Poverty and Unemployment Poverty is one of the most persistent social problems in India. According to the latest estimates, millions of Indians still live below the poverty line. Poverty limits access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities, creating a cycle of deprivation and inequality. Unemployment, particularly among the youth and educated individuals, is another significant concern. Structural unemployment due to lack of skill development and technological changes in industries has intensified the problem.
