### Algorithm to Find the HCF (Highest Common Factor)

The Highest Common Factor (HCF) of two numbers is the largest number that divides both of them without leaving a remainder. To find the HCF of two numbers, we can use the Euclidean algorithm, which is based on the principle that the HCF of two numbers also divides their difference.

#### Steps of the Algorithm:

1. Start: Accept two positive integers, say `a` and `b`.
2. Check for Zero: If either of the numbers is zero, return the other number as the HCF.
3. Apply Euclidean Algorithm:
    - Divide the larger number by the smaller one and get the remainder.
    - Replace the larger number with the smaller number, and the smaller number with the remainder from the division.
    - Repeat this process until the remainder is zero.
