Marcus Stanton, a wealthy businessman with a reputation for being ruthless in his dealings, sat up abruptly in his bed. He rubbed his eyes, glancing at the clock before picking up the receiver. His voice was thick with sleep, but it held a hint of authority that matched his status.

“Stanton here,” he grumbled.
