Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS)

 The TRIPS agreement sets out the rules for WTO members to protect intellectual property rights. Intellectual property rights are meant to be rights to thoughts, ideas, and information, especially regarding new inventions and processes.
