The National Policy on Safety, Health and Environment at Workplace (NPSHEW), adopted by the Government of India in 2009, serves as a comprehensive framework to ensure safety, health, and environmental sustainability across workplaces. It recognizes the right of every worker to a safe and healthy working environment and aims to institutionalize preventive safety and health culture through effective compliance, awareness, and capacity building.
