Day 1: I observed my boss at work belittling a female colleague for expressing her opinion on a project we were working on. He dismissed her ideas and told her that she was being too emotional. This is a clear example of gender-based discrimination and the fact that women are often perceived as being less competent in their fields. The root cause of this is the patriarchal society that we live in where men are seen as being more competent and dominant.

Day 2: I was out shopping with my mom and I noticed that all the toys marketed towards girls were pink and had themes such as dolls, beauty and makeup, while toys marketed towards boys were blue and had themes such as action, sports and cars. This reinforces gender stereotypes and reinforces the idea that boys should be interested in action and sports while girls should be interested in beauty and dolls. This is a clear example of the gender binary and how it affects our lives from a young age.

Day 3: I was at a party and I noticed that all the women were expected to dress in a certain way. They were expected to wear dresses, high heels and a full face of makeup while the men were dressed in more casual attire.
