In the era of digital media, citizen journalism has emerged as a significant force in documenting local issues that often go unnoticed by mainstream media. One such local issue that has largely been ignored by traditional news outlets is the plight of small-scale farmers in rural areas who are struggling with the adverse impacts of climate change. Despite the growing awareness of climate change, its effects on agriculture and the challenges faced by these farmers have not been sufficiently covered in mainstream media, particularly in smaller, rural communities. This gap in media coverage calls for a new approach, one where citizen journalists step in to fill the void.

In this case, I will document the struggles faced by small-scale farmers in a rural village in India, where fluctuating rainfall patterns, droughts, and extreme weather conditions have been significantly affecting crop yields. These farmers, who are heavily dependent on traditional farming methods and have little access to advanced irrigation systems or modern farming technologies, are now at the mercy of erratic weather patterns.
