Panchagavya is a traditional organic formulation derived from five cow products: cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd, and ghee. In modern organic farming practice, additional ingredients such as jaggery, banana, tender coconut water, and sometimes toddy are added to enhance microbial activity and nutrient content. The preparation begins by mixing fresh cow dung with ghee thoroughly in a clean plastic or earthen container and allowing it to ferment for about three days with regular stirring. The container should not be tightly sealed, allowing gaseous exchange during fermentation.
