A text is an organised and meaningful series of clauses/sentences. It may consist of one clause or less, or it may consist of a whole series of clauses/sentences.
Example: the word ‘Yes’ might constitute a whole text, in answer to something spoken, with nothing preceding or succeeding it. On the other hand, the text might he a whole novel, sermon or a debate.

A sentence is built on the relationship of its clauses. If the sentence contains more than one clause, each of the clauses, apart from having its own internal
structure, needs to be connected to the other clauses. Similarly, clauses/sentences need to be connected to preceding and succeeding clauses/sentences. This
