The concept of community has undergone significant transformation over time due to social, economic, political, technological, and cultural changes. Traditionally, a community referred to a group of people living within a defined geographical area who shared common customs, values, occupations, and social relationships. It was characterized by close interpersonal ties, mutual dependence, collective decision-making, and a strong sense of belonging. However, modernization, industrialization, globalization, and digital communication have expanded the meaning of community beyond geographical boundaries.
