Describe micro-level planning for setting up a Biovillage model. What is role of biocentre in a Biovillage?

The community based institutions, has to plan for a viable biovillage. The planning for setting up a biovillage project is done at the village or at the farm level and hence it is referred as micro-level planning. Prior to this planning, the facilitator along with the community, needs to undertake detailed assessments about the socioeconomic structure and natural resource mapping through primary surveys and secondary data collection. An understanding is needed to the facilitator to identify the major technological and socio-economic constraints in the spatial (Global, National, State, District), levels and temporal dimensions affecting adversely the ecological compatibility, the economic efficiency and social activity of the resource development in the focus villages, for taking up perspective action plan for implementing a biovillage. This information should be discussed with the community in an appropriate manner for wise decision making.
