It involves analyzing current workforce capabilities, predicting future manpower needs based on business goals, identifying gaps between demand and supply of human resources, and formulating strategies such as recruitment, training, redeployment, and succession planning to bridge these gaps. HRP integrates organizational strategy with human resource management functions and ensures optimum utilization of human talent while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing environmental conditions. In the tourism sector, the need for Human Resource Planning is particularly significant because tourism is a labor-intensive and service-oriented industry.
