Matching Activities
We did some activities where Arjun had to match things based on their color, shape and size. We also looked for patterns and finished sequences by matching. Arjun matched uppercase letters to lowercase letters too. In another game, he had to match sets that had the same number of objects.
Arjun could sort toys into groups by color very well. He knew all the basic colors and some shades like light blue too. With shapes, he could identify simple 2D shapes like circles, squares, triangles easily. But he had some trouble with more complex shapes like rectangles, ovals, etc. Arjun understood big and small but didn't always get medium/average size right.
For patterns, he followed simple repeating patterns like red-blue-red-blue by putting the right object next. But he couldn't figure out more complex patterns involving numbers or shapes changing in a sequence. Matching uppercase and lowercase letter pairs was easy for most letters Arjun _______ __________ __________ _____ ________ _______ ____ __________.
