The National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) was introduced by the Government of India in 2006 with the vision of making all government services accessible to common citizens through information and communication technology. It aimed to transform the delivery of government services by ensuring efficiency, transparency, and reliability. The plan brought together various e-governance initiatives under a common vision and strategy, providing a holistic framework to promote e-governance across the country.
