The National Family Health Survey in India is one of the most comprehensive large-scale surveys that provides essential information on population, health, nutrition, and family welfare. It is an initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, with technical assistance from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) in Mumbai, and supported by several international agencies.
