In this case, hygiene is lacking despite visible cleanliness. Another example can be seen in food preparation. A kitchen may look tidy and organized, but if raw and cooked foods are not stored separately, or if food handlers do not wash their hands properly, the risk of contamination remains high. Thus, hygiene involves specific practices such as handwashing with soap, safe disposal of waste, proper ventilation, safe drinking water, and regular disinfection, all aimed at preventing disease transmission. In sanitation and waste management, cleanliness involves the regular removal of garbage, sweeping of streets, and cleaning of drains.
