Some of the main objectives of Sarvodaya philosophy are as follows:

1. Emphasis on Spirit:

The Sarvodaya philosophy attaches a great importance to the pre-eminence of spirit. This emphasis is evident because it was Gandhi who laid the foundations for the Sarvodaya philosophy, as he always desired to realize God. His entire set of socio-political and economic programmes are aimed at realization of human consciousness through the services of the poor.
