In Jain philosophy, the concept of liberation, known as *moksha*, is central to its teachings. Moksha refers to the ultimate state of spiritual freedom and purity, where the soul is freed from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, also known as *samsara*. The Jain path to liberation is distinct and differs from other philosophical traditions, emphasizing non-violence, self-discipline, and the purification of the soul.
