ROLE OF GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES IN FOOD SAFETY -

It is the duty of the government to provide safe food to the citizens. From time to time,

various laws have been enacted by the concerned ministries to ensure availability of

safe food to all. Lately, the Government of India has given a new law to the country i.e

Food Safety and Standards Act (FSSA) 2006. This has been necessitated by various
