What is a computer system? Explain different components of computer system.

A computer is an electronic device that can be programmed to accept data (input), process it and generate result (output). A computer along with  additional hardware and  software together is called a  computer system.
A computer system primarily comprises a central processing unit (CPU), memory, input/output devices  and storage devices. All these components function  together as a  single unit to deliver the desired output.  A computer system comes in various forms and sizes. It can vary from a high-end server to personal desktop,  laptop, tablet computer, or a smartphone.

It Is a collection of entities(hardware,software and liveware) that are designed to receive, process, manage and present information in a meaningful format.

COMPONENTS OF COMPUTER SYSTEM

Computer hardware - Are physical parts/ intangible parts of a computer. eg Input devices, output devices, central processing unit and storage devices

Computer software - also known as programs or applications. They are classified into two classes namely - sytem software and application software

Liveware - is the computer user. Also kwon as orgwareor the humanware. The user commands the computer system to execute on instructions.

Hardware refers to the physical, tangible computer equipment and devices, which provide support for major functions such as input, processing (internal storage, computation and control), output, secondary storage (for data and programs), and communication.
