Their perceptions of risk are shaped by experience, resource base, socio-economic conditions, access to information, and cultural attitudes toward uncertainty. In farm cost management, risk perception directly influences input use decisions, enterprise selection, investment in technology, borrowing behavior and overall cost structure of the farm business. Production risk is one of the most visible and immediate risks perceived by farmers.
