The Chinese Revolution, culminating in the establishment of the People's Republic of China on 1 October 1949 under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), was one of the most significant political and social transformations of the twentieth century. It marked the end of decades of civil war, foreign domination, feudal exploitation, and political instability. The revolution was not merely a transfer of political power but a comprehensive restructuring of Chinese society, economy, culture, and international relations. One of the greatest significances of the Chinese Revolution was the overthrow of the old social and political order. Although later collectivization reduced individual ownership, the initial land reforms gained massive support for the Communist Party and significantly altered the socio-economic structure of the countryside.
