Discuss National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardio Vascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDSC)

The National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Stroke (NPCDSC) is an initiative by the Government of India to address the increasing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the country. NCDs, including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and stroke, are responsible for a significant proportion of deaths and disabilities worldwide, and India is no exception.

The NPCDSC was launched in 2010 with the aim of reducing the morbidity and mortality associated with NCDs in India. The program focuses on health promotion and prevention, early detection, and management of NCDs. It also aims to build capacity at all levels of the health system, from primary health centers to tertiary care hospitals.

The key objectives of the NPCDSC are:
