A. V. Dicey, the renowned British constitutional theorist, propounded the classical concept of the Rule of Law in his celebrated work *Introduction to the Study of the Law of the Constitution*. According to Dicey, the Rule of Law is the fundamental principle of the British constitutional system and represents the supremacy of law over arbitrary power.
