1. Architecture:
   - Pillars: One of the most prominent architectural features of Mauryan art is the monumental stone pillars. These pillars were erected by Emperor Ashoka and served as important markers and inscribed edicts of the emperor's teachings. The pillars were made of highly polished sandstone and displayed exceptional craftsmanship. The most famous example is the Ashoka Pillar at Sarnath, which features the Lion Capital with the four lions back-to-back.
