For example, if you look at a pattern of dots where some are black and others are white, you would likely perceive the black dots as one group and the white dots as another, even though all the dots are essentially the same. This law explains why we tend to organize elements that have common attributes into one perceptual unit. In a business presentation with slides, similar color schemes or fonts may lead viewers to group certain slides together based on visual similarity. The Law of Continuity is another important principle in Gestalt psychology.
