Multimodal therapy is an integrative form of psychotherapy developed by Arnold A. Lazarus during the 1970s. Initially, behavior therapy focused mainly on observable behavior and conditioning principles. However, Lazarus observed that emotional disorders involved not only behavior but also thoughts, feelings, relationships, physiological reactions, and environmental influences.
