Brain development is significant, with rapid increases in neural connections and brain volume. There is also the development of sensory and motor skills. The infant develops abilities such as rolling over, sitting, crawling, and walking. Nutritional needs are critical during this period. Breastfeeding is recommended exclusively for the first six months, followed by complementary feeding.
